Day 4: Watch ‘A Very Murray Christmas’ on Netflix

Day 4

One of my favorite movies to watch growing up was Scrooged starring Bill Murray and Karen Allen. My dad is a big fan of George C. Scott’s A Christmas Carol, which was a wonderful, but kind of serious movie for us kids to watch. And as much as we enjoyed that tradition, we really enjoyed those silly, lighter takes. We got the message of the story, but we also had a few laughs along the way.

The holiday season can be stressful. I’ve found that working some humor into the routine is not only fun, but essential for keeping the merriness going.

So with Scrooged being a staple in my childhood, I was pretty darn excited to see that Bill Murray would be back celebrating the Christmas spirit this year with a new special on Netflix. A Very Murray Christmas begins screening today, and after seeing the trailer and its star-studded cast I knew I couldn’t miss it.

Yeah, I can’t wait to don my Christmas fleece and curl up in front of the TV with the kittens to watch this one.

But, if this movie isn’t your cup of tea, I suggest checking out one of the other holiday movies on Netflix, Hulu, Hallmark, or even one from your own collection or Redbox. The first week of December can be stressful, and taking a couple of hours to watch something is a great way to finish up the week.

And let’s keep this movie night truly stress-free. Pop some popcorn, pick up some red and green candy at the store, and make some hot cocoa to munch on while we have an evening of in-home Christmas spirit.
